Planning an Autumn Wedding

Hooray… Summer is finally on the way… and here I am wanting to talk to you about Autumn Weddings!

Well, we do like all that planning ahead. And now is the perfect time to think about a beautiful Autumn occasion. You can see the stunning palettes of colour that can be created in these photos from one of our weddings at Farnham Castle last year – taken by the super lovely and super talented Sophie Duckworth.

Always try and work with your florist to choose flowers that are in season and you’ll discover many English flowers are still in bloom at that time… like one of our favourite often forgotten delights, Chocolate Cosmos. It looks (and smells!) stunning with softer blush tones and interesting textures from foliages and seed heads.

The flowers used at the wedding of Nichola and Johnny are a great example of this, deep maroon and blush tones of Menth Rose, Quicksand Rose, Blush Ranunculus, Eucalyptus Poplus, Scabious Seed Heads, Garden Roses, Maroon Scabious and of course, Cholcolate Cosmos. The overall effect? Well… a picture speaks a thousand words…

So now’s the time to look ahead, talk to your florist, prepare for Autumn… and enjoy the imminent Summer!
