It’s not often we get asked to make olives the focal point of a winter wedding, but when we heard the reasons why they played such an important role in this relationship, we couldn’t wait to get involved and use them to their full, wonderful, fragrant potential.
Clare and David actually met while working on an olive grove… sounds romantic already doesn’t it! They decided to honour that location by bringing it into their wedding, utilising olive trees and leaves in all the arrangements on the day.
That included Clare’s rather fantastic (if we say so ourselves) large, wild bouquet. So loose and natural in style while incredibly feminine, it was one of our favourites! Alongside the olive l sat the nudes of the Maylaya Spray Rose, champagnes and rich burgundy tones of Tulips and Rannunculs – all matches made in heaven.
The theme continued with arrangements at the reception, with the addition of olive sprig place settings, with the entire scene made even more beautiful by romantic candlelight in the idyllic location of Clock Barn in rural Hampshire. It’s a venue full of charm and character, made even more special on this occasion by Clare & David’s unique touches such as the gin themed table plan created by Dave himself!
This was one of those weddings that just seemed to flow naturally creating a lovely relaxed atmosphere for all involved. And the all-important olive leaves certainly did Clare and David proud on the day.
