May - the month for travelling florists!

May was a great month for me and Head Florist, Shelly – we both had a holiday, we both loved them and we both saw some amazing flowers.

Me first… it’s no secret that I have a love affair with Cornwall.

On this occasion my brother and his family were on a trip from their home in Australia and I was excited to show them this part of the country as they’d never been before. We stayed at one of the gorgeous Unique Home Stays properties, it was just the perfect way to relax.

Even for those used to stunning scenery, it was easy to understand my fascination with this stunning coastline. Add to that we had wonderful weather and delicious food from outstanding restaurants (a special mention to Porthminster Beach Café, can’t recommend it enough).

We managed to fit in a day trip tp Bottalack Mine and Charlestown Harbour and as a self-confessed Poldark addict, this was my ideal holiday!

 Over to Shelly….

‘Celebrating my husband’s 40th birthday this was a great opportunity for family time, and oh my goodness, did we make the most of it!

I haven’t been to Portugal before and was lucky to stay in the lovely town of Sagres. Martinhal resort is really geared towards children which means us parents can relax too! Our garden house was surrounded by the things I love – beautiful plants, grasses and flowers – making me feel right at home.

There was Agapanthus, and my absolute favourites - Olive, Rosemary & Lavender in wild abundance so I was in my element.

Another highlight of the trip was seeing wild dolphins on a thankfully very calm ocean. All in all a fantastic holiday and a florists paradise’.

Now where to go next?!...
