There’s something really special about an outdoor wedding, everything feels so natural and relaxed and as a florist it’s a real pleasure to work on.
When Shelley & Tom Nicoli chose an outdoor wedding at one of our favourite venues, Bury Court Barn, we were delighted with our brief. The bridesmaids would be wearing pale pinks, the general theme was soft pastels and a special ‘feature’ was needed where the ceremony would be taking place.
We created a floral arch beam decoration as the focal point to compliment the brides’ bouquet and all the other arrangements in the barn. These comprised Lilac Sweet Peas, Alchemilla (otherwise known as Lady’s Mantle), Astilbe, one of our all time favourites – gorgeous Peony, Rose, Lavender, Flowering Mint, Olive and Rosemary. And yes, the fragrance really was as good as it sounds!
It was an incredible, joyful occasion, captured beautifully as ever by waterlanephotography, and the relaxed nature of the surroundings was embraced by all those attending to create an amazing atmosphere.
Wishing every happiness to Shelley & Tom, and thanks for letting us be a part of such a gorgeous day!
